It is finally feeling more like November with the clocks changing and darker days! I almost feel the produce tastes even better at this time of year or perhaps more needed due to the longer nights.
We have such an array of produce this autumn, So many greens in the field such as 4 different kales, leeks, cabbages, sprouting broccoli and cauliflower and in the polytunnels pak choi, spinach, chard, salad and herbs.
We have had to plan carefully to ensure we have crops all year around. This year seems to be one of the best to date! We will be busy picking first thing in the morning as usual! My favourite part of the job!
This week we are harvesting celeriac [great roasted or as dauphinoise], hard white cabbage for coleslaw or frying in butter and black pepper!
We also have leeks, spinach, fennel, salad and coriander. So a great variety!
We hope you enjoy the produce!
